Dear teachers and students,do you still remember when did you begin to read books?

When I was a little boy,my grandparents and parents always encouraged me to study hard.They said,”If you want to change your life and make a bright future, you must study really really hard.”So I began to read books and copied some famous sayings,such as “Time is like water in a sponge.As long as you are willing to squeeze it,there will always be some.” and then,put them in my writings and speeches in order to get high marks. At that time,the meaning of reading was that I can get high marks in exams and earn a lot of money when I grow up. Since there is a saying goes,” A book holds a house of gold.”

During my middle school time, I was so fond of reading novels and long stories,because I can experience the lives of those characters. You know,as a middle school student,my life is so simple and boring,but the lives are so colorful and fantastic.So throughout junior high school time, I experienced the lives of hundreds of and thousands of people. Sometimes I was Robinson,sometimes I was travelling where is 20,000 miles under the sea,At that time,the meaning of reading was that I can see the world and experience different people’s lives.And now when i am in senior high school, i read more kinds and more complicated books. I gradually found that i no longer passively accept the author’s point of view like a bystander but like a co-editor. The author is editing the characters’ lives,and I reinvent myself after searching for myself.Now,I don’t just absorbed in the wonderful stories anymore. I have changed from reading stories to reading people. Reading Su Shi,I realized that even as talented as him,his life is full of ups and downs.So what’s the big deal about my little worries? .I was moved and inspired by him.

Hugo once said, “Books are tools to transform the soul. I kept asking me”what kind of person do i want to be? I think i know myself and shape my soul in the process of reading.When i was upset ,the voice in my heart replied “You are Yuzuru Hanyu,cheer up and fight again. I began to rethink the meaning of reading. That is, we can find our own mappings from books and then think about what kind of person we want to be.
